We did it everybody, we made it to the first NFL Sunday of the year. As much as we love summer and the weather, there isn’t much in sports that matches the fun of a football Sunday. Whether you’re watching with friends at a bar or with Scott Hanson guiding you through your Sunday on NFL Redzone, the wall-to-wall action is impeccable to get caught up in. Now what adds to that fun? Cashing tickets at the bet window. We’ve had some fun so far picking college games here on the blog, but the panel wants to dive into the NFL fun, and we’ll share this Sunday version of Money Back Guarantee each week to share our picks for the league! Now remember, this isn’t some “call this number for led pick locks” blog, as my advice is to bet smart and follow your own head. Don’t let us dictate you like it’s Two for the Money...

Now I want to lay out two rules before we get into our picks this week. These are not mine but rather hard fast rules to live by when betting the NFL from the fantastic Cash the Ticket Podcast, hosted by Mike Valenti and Jim Costa. First is “take your vitamins,” AKA take your points and avoid the line (unless your Tyler this week). Rule number two is “become comfortable with the uncomfortable,” whether that be a big number or a bad team, don’t be afraid to lean into the garbage. Find a rat line with a rat team in a rat game, it’s the money is made, and Mike and Jim’s handywork can back that up. Now with that out of the way, let’s find some winners.
