Hello friends welcome back to the money back guarantee. Hard to believe another Labor Day is upon us but here we are. I still recall Labor Day 2021 moving out of my Belmar house. I’ll give 3 picks that will be for the contest. The best bet won’t fall under the umbrella of the contest and if I’m really loving the board I’ll do a separate bonus pick which also won’t fall into the season long contest. Also just for the sake of a clean slate week zero picks will not go into the contest.

Anyways, last week we started off with a very respectable 2-1 for +0.87 units. The best bet went 1-0 +0.91

Baylor @ Auburn -7.5 O/U 59.5

There’s a lot of hype for the Auburn Tigers as the Alex Golesh era begins. I’m a bit more pessimistic on the Tigers to start this season. New coach new system new quarterback and you lose your top 5 statistical receivers from the year prior. You also lose guys like Keyron Crawford and Keldric Faulk from what was a pretty stout defense. On the other side the DJ Lagway steps in at QB for Dave Aranda’s Baylor Bears and we really don’t know what to expect from him this season. For that reason I’m playing under 59.5 -115.

North Texas @ Indiana -40.5 O/U 55.5

This one is quite simple really. North Texas is pretty much fielding a whole new team on the heels of Eric Morris heading north to Oklahoma State and taking a majority of his talent with him from the season prior. And Indiana is Indiana. Sure there are new faces in new places but I trust Curt Cignetti completely. I’ll lay the points with Indiana, give me the Hoosiers -40.5 -110.

Boise State @ Oregon -24.5 O/U 51.5

Boise comes in with some playoff buzz and a good showing against the Ducks at Autzen Zoo could propel them to such a season. But I don’t trust Maddux Madsen and the talent disparity between these two teams is massive. I’m going to lay the points with Oregon -24.5 -110.

Best Bet

Kent State @ South Carolina -36.5 O/U 54.5

Coach Shane Beamer announced that he not expect Dylan Stewart and new left tackle Jacarrius Peak to play this weekend. This makes me very nervous for the Gamecocks especially on offense. They struggled mightily consistently moving the ball last season. The pick is under 54.5 -110.
