I’m baaaaaaaack! Another year of college football is right around the corner, and I’m ready to make you lovely readers some money. While I don’t have a ton of futures lined up to start the year, these are the ones I’m most confident in, let’s get to it.

Oregon to make the Big 10 Championship Game +100

Is this the year that Dan Lanning can finally break through and win the Natty? I have a feeling that may be the case, but I also like to play things safe. The Ducks have the strongest roster on paper going into the season, and a mix of elite production returning paired with another strong recruiting and transfer portal class will only help their cause. Health is going to be the most important thing for this roster. With elite wide receiver Dakorien Moore returning to Eugene after battling nagging injuries all last season, the goal for him will be to prove everyone why he is considered one of the most talented players in the sport. Dante Moore is back for another go around before eventually leaving for the NFL, and God forbid he does go down with injury, the Ducks snagged the top quarterback in the transfer portal in Dylan Raiola to back him up for a year before taking the reigns as the starter. The Ducks schedule isn’t a cakewalk, but I don’t see more than one, possibly two losses in the regular season. That should be enough to get them back to the Big 10 Championship Game, and an easy cash for a bet at plus money.

BYU Over 8.5 wins -150

The Big 12 is in a precarious spot going into 2026. There’s a lot of turnover all through the conference, and no team really stands out above any other besides the top dog in Texas Tech. Luckily for the Cougars, they avoid the Red Raiders altogether, and face a litany of mid table teams during conference play. I expect quarterback Bear Bachmeier to take a step forward in his second year under center, and the surprising decision by running back LJ Martin to return for his senior season will give him an elite security blanket playing behind him. The wide receiver position will be one to look out for, as the team lost a majority of their depth to the transfer portal, but they did bring in a duo of tight ends in Roger Saleapaga and Walker Lyons that should give Bachmeier reliable options in short yardage situations. The Cougars could easily start their season 5-0 before a matchup with Notre Dame in Provo followed up with a sneaky tough matchup with UCF on the road. If they can get through that beginning portion of the schedule unscathed and take care of UCF in late October, I think the win total will be safe.

Auburn Over 6.5 wins -115

This is the future that I do have some reservations about going into the season. Auburn had a complete overhaul of their roster under new head coach Alex Golesh, bringing in a ton of talent from his old job as USF, highlighted by new starting quarterback Byrum Brown. The first game of the year against Baylor may be the most important game we have to sweat out all season, if the Tigers can start the season with a winning record, we will be in a pretty good spot for this total to hit. Looking at the schedule, wins against Southern Miss and Samford are all but guaranteed, and games against lower-level SEC competition like Vanderbilt (sorry, it’s a rebuilding year), Arkansas and Mississippi State should be wins as well. That leaves a much-needed win in Week 1 to Baylor, and the Tigers would only need one more win. Games against Florida and Tennessee (with a true freshman QB and a lot of roster turnover) are our best bets at wins on the schedule, but in the SEC, anything can happen.

Dante Moore to win the Heisman +1100

Every year I like to make a few dart throws for Heisman winners. This year by two picks aren’t major underdogs, but two guys in great situations that should have a lot of team success. My first pick is Dante Moore. As highlighted above, the Oregon Ducks are in a fantastic spot to make a deep run into the College Football Playoffs, and for that to happen Dante Moore will have to play at the level everyone knows he can. Littered with talent around him, Moore will have no problem finding open players. With a middling schedule Moore should be able to light up lower-level defenses and pad some stats that voters will surely be looking at.

Darian Mensah to win the Heisman +1150

To put it nicely, the ACC is a mess of a conference. One team stands out above the rest, the Miami Hurricanes. Because of this they are a heavy favorite to not only reach the ACC Championship Game (-250), but also win the conference (-146). One of the reasons for this is The U bringing in one of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal in Darian Mensah from Duke. Mensa has all the intangibles, a big frame, rocket arm, and ability to extend plays out of the pocket and use his legs for big plays. Giving Mensah an elite running back combo in Mark Fletcher Jr. and CharMar Brown, along with one of the most electric pass catchers in the sport in Malachi Toney is reason for excitement down in Florida. Miami also went out and grabbed a reliable receiver in Cooper Barkate, Mensah’s former teammate at Duke, in the transfer portal to really put the offense over the top. Outside of a matchup with Notre Dame towards the end of the season, Miami’s schedule doesn’t strike fear in the hearts of many. If Mensah can put some of the questions about being turnover prone that plagued him in his year at Duke to bed, he has an excellent chance to be one of the finalists for the biggest award in college football.
