Hello friends, it is with a heavy heart that I write this blog for the last time in the regular season. We still have conference championship games, bowl games and playoffs but it doesn’t hit the same as a jam packed Saturday. So let’s finish this in style.

Last week we continued our good form by going 5-1 +3.49 units we even hit the best bet which is now 10-6 +2.82 units. The overall record for the season is 38-31 +3.86 units. Let’s hit the picks.

Ole Miss @ Mississippi State +7 O/U 62.5

The Egg Bowl is back. I hate hate hate the amount of noise around Ole Miss right now. We all know the root cause of the noise *cough cough* Lane Kiffin. I think Mississippi State comes out determined to play spoiler this week. Hail State +7 -112.

Georgia @ Georgia Tech +14 O/U 59.5

Georgia Tech suffered a brutal loss last week at the hands of Pitt. Tech was only slightly outgained, 2 interceptions were the difference. I tend to think this line is a slight overreaction. I think Tech keeps this close so we’ll take the points with the Yellow Jackets +14 -112.

Texas A&M @ Texas +2.5 O/U 51.5

The big one Friday night in the Lone Star State. Texas A&M finds themselves undefeated going to DKR Stadium to play the Texas Longhorns. Is it their biggest game since the Johnny Era? Probably not, they are in the playoffs regardless. But I don’t think there’s a game that Aggies fans have wanted to win more in a long time. Texas A&M’s offense has been outstanding. Concepcion and Craver at receiver with Reed making it run at quarterback. On the other side has the Texas offense turned a corner? They hung 52 on Arkansas last week. I lean Texas but I’m not comfortable giving it out at 2.5. If it’s 3.5? Go go go, we’ll take over 51.5 -110.

Miami @ Pittsburgh +7 O/U 50.5

Remarkably 6 teams are still alive for the ACC Championship Game. 2 of those teams play in this game. Maybe the Miami defense comes in and absolutely bullies Pitt. But I think this Pittsburgh team is capable of keeping this close. Maybe even pulling an upset here. Mason Heintschel is a really good quarterback. We’ll take the points Pitt +7 -110.

UCLA @ USC -21.5 O/U 59.5

Great rivalry, better color game. I think USC comes into this game feeling themselves despite a disappointing loss to Oregon last week. UCLA is waiting on a new coach but there’s some good vibes around the team since the start of the Skipper-Neuhiesel Regime. I like over 59.5 -105.

Notre Dame @ Stanford -32.5 O/U 51.5

The Irish have been very good to us on the blog this season. It’s a weird start time for the Irish 10:30 on the west coast, and Stanford has been pesky at home. But Notre Dame is absolutely rolling. It’s a double pick here we’ll lay the points Notre Dame -32.5 -105 and over 51.5 -110. I think the Irish can score 40 by themselves here (conservatively) so this under feels low.

Alabama @ Auburn +5.5 O/U 46.5

The Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Nick and I talked about it on the pod but this game just feels even bigger at Auburn. Maybe because Alabama expects to win every game every year, or maybe Auburn just has a better atmosphere (it does) I cannot wait for this game. Auburn finds itself in an interesting position. With a win they likely eliminate Bama with a win. Last week against Mercer Auburn started highly touted freshman Deuce Knight and he showed out with 6 touchdowns. It sounds like the Tigers will be going back to Ashton Daniels this week. You have to figure Knight has a package or two for this game. I also noticed Auburn was playing at a higher pace than earlier in the season, duly noted. Bama still hasn’t found its footing in the post Saban era. They are inconsistent rushing the ball, and the defense has been spotty. We’ll take the points with Auburn +5.5 -104 and over 46.5 -110.

Best Bet

Florida State @ Florida -1.5 O/U 51.5

A classic in-state rivalry on Saturday afternoon at the swamp. I think Florida quit last week in that game against Tennessee. In my opinion the wrong team is favored here. Seminoles +1.5 -115.
