Confession. This has been the most frustrating college football season I’ve ever experienced from a gambling perspective. I’ve been in such a slump. As soon as Will Howard threw the pick 6 I knew the first half under was dead. Had I just bet under for the game it’s a easy winner. Couldn’t get that last score from Georgia to cover (not that I deserved it) it’s just not happening.
My promise to you the reader is that I will not give up on this season. I will fight like hell for you. The record last week was 1-3 -2.09 units which for the season brings us to a miserable 19-25 -4.44 units. Depressing to even write that out. Let’s just get to the picks.
Iowa @ UCLA +6.5 o/u 44.5

Since going from Cade McNamara to Brendan Sullivan the Hawkeyes offense has been dare I say dynamic? At the very least the ground game has been. We knew how good Kaleb Johnson is but Sullivan is a fantastic runner at quarterback. Let me say hats off to UCLA coach DeShaun Foster. The Bruins have been very competitive this season. They’ve won back to back games. I think this could be a good one on Friday night. Give me the over 44.5.
Army @ North Texas +4.5 o/u 63.5

North Texas has one of the most high-powered offenses in the country. Army star quarterback Bryson Daily’s status is still up in the air and a huge matchup with Notre Dame is looming. The pick is…

North Texas +4.5 and over 63.5.
Colorado @ Texas Tech +4.5 o/u 62.5

This is a massive game in Lubbock on Saturday. Colorado is firmly in the mix for a Big 12 championship game appearance. Don’t count out Texas Tech, despite the two losses a win brings the red raiders back into the hunt for a spot. Colorado is coming off a bye and Tech is coming off a massive win in Ames over Iowa State. I absolutely love this over 62.5. I hope both offense have a lot of fun.
Washington @ Penn State -13.5 o/u 45.5

Penn State came up short last week as they normally do. Now they host Washington who has to fly across the country to Happy Valley. James Franklin knows everything is still there to be played for and he’ll have his guys ready for this one. Nittany Lions -13.5.
