From the Pen of Mike Sheerin;
This is not a drill, for the first time in 9 years the Mets are heading to the NLCS.
It wasn’t always easy that ninth inning probably took several years off my life but I would like to highlight the performance of a few individuals.

I’ve criticized Jose Quintana plenty of times in his Mets tenure. But he’s delivered so far in the playoffs. Game three in Milwaukee and tonight. He has yet to concede an earned run he’s knuckled down and battled when he needed to and has given really good innings.

David Peterson another maligned Met in his time here, but now? DAVID FUCKIN PETERSON. Peterson comes in and delivers 2 and a third scoreless and kept the Mets in that baseball game until the offense could get going. And that leads us to one man…
Francisco Lindor, all I have to say.

When the Mets need was most dire, after wasting 2 bases loaded opportunities early. Frankly, they wasted a lot of runners on base tonight. Francisco Lindor delivered one of the biggest home runs in the history of the New York Mets.
Did you watch it? Well we can watch it again with the great Howie Rose on the call.
Not much else I can say really. We head to the NLCS, the new Miracle Mets roll on. I’ll just keep having fun and enjoy this team as much as I can the rest of the way. Let’s Go Mets.
